Ovarian drilling is a minimally invasive procedure in which small burns are made to the ovaries to reduce hormone production and stimulate ovulation. It's used for women with polycystic ovary syndrome or infertility.
Typically done as an outpatient procedure, with a waiting time of 1-3 weeks for hormone levels to return to normal prior to trying for pregnancy. Success rate is around 20-40%.
